As the elected corporate body of the SCCS Society, the Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of Strathroy Community Christian School. At SCCS, this includes the development of goals and policies to set direction and guide the provision of education services in accordance with the requirements of government legislation, maintaining the vision and mission of the SCCS Society, as well as monitoring the effectiveness of the policies and program.

Committees of the Board
Executive Committee – To assist the Chairperson in establishing the agenda, to provide administrative oversight to the Principal, and to act as planning committee for the Board.
Contract Partnership Committee – To discuss, consult and negotiate with teacher representatives to reach a salaries and benefits agreement between the Principal, Vice-Principal, Teachers, and Educational Assistants, and the Board of Directors of SCCS.
Finance: Development & Planning – To oversee fund development activities for SCCS.
Finance: Risk Management & Planning – To exercise fiduciary responsibility for the establishment of internal control systems that ensure the orderly and efficient conduct of SCCS business affairs.
Membership – To solicit new members and membership renewals for the Society and to maintain membership records.
Governance – To oversee how the board manages itself and ensures that policies are up to date and followed.
Transportation – To work with the bus coordinators to oversee transportation at SCCS.
