Second Chance Community Store

Our Social Enterprise
to Keep Tuition Lower

The Second Chance Community store was started in 2012 as a way to provide a sustainable source of non-tuition revenue for SCCS, while also giving back to the community, by reducing waste in the Strathroy Caradoc area. We are a volunteer supported fundraising venture that relies 100% on donations that we resell in our community store.

We have great deals on antiques, furniture, appliances, hardware, household items, gardening tools, construction materials and much more. We also sell Fusion paint, for all your upcycling and Shabby Chic needs. As an added bonus, you will not pay HST when you shop at the SCCStore. We offer free pickups of donations, and reasonable delivery fees for your purchases.

Our volunteers log over 7,000 hours per year serving at the store, and we believe that we have one of the best teams of volunteers anywhere. These folks are passionate about their support for Strathroy Community Christian School and the students there, and without them, the SCCStore would not be possible. Would you consider joining our great (and very fun) team? We promise that you will laugh lots, and be blessed by your time at the store, every single time!

The profits of the SCCStore go directly to parents in the form of lower tuition--over $1,000 per family per year. Every single SCCS student benefits from the work of the store. You can support the store through prayer, by making donations, by making purchases, by volunteering and by telling your friends about this amazing place. The SCCStore has become a hub of community activity, and serves a wide geographical area. Our customers come from as far away as London, Chatham, Sarnia, Woodstock and even Toronto. We love being part of the Strathroy community, and are blessed by the people who love to be our customers. God has used this little store on the corner of Carroll Street and Adelaide Road in Strathroy to bless many people in too many ways to count--we could never have imagined the possibilities when we started in 2012. To God be the glory!
